 Activity Place items with distinctive smells (such as an onion, bubble gum, toothpaste, dirt) in numbered, opaque 35mm film canisters. Students close their eyes, open each canister, then smell and guess what each item is. They can simply tell you, or they can write their answers on a piece of paper. (You might choose to provide a "word bank" with the possible answers.)
